about

Esperando el alba "Waiting for Dawn" is played in the flamenco form of bulería al golpe which is a rhythm counted in 12 beat measures. A traditional alternate tuning is used by tuning the sixth string a whole-tone down to a D and the third-string a semi-tone down to F#. This is a tuning popularized in Spain in the mid-1900s as an attempt to imitate the deep ostinato bass of the Arabic oud.
